Credit Analyst II or Sr.

Minimum Requirements Needed

Develops and analyzes all required financial and credit information. Independently prepares commercial lending packages prepared for complex and non-complex commercial loans, including analytical analysis, documents and supporting materials.  Provides guidance to other credit analysts as needed.

1.   Financial spreads and credit request presentation.

  • Performs in-depth financial analysis of borrowers and guarantors, including larger and more complex loan packages. 
  • Understands and interprets individual sources and analysis of personal cash flow.
  • Analyzes business financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Demonstrates mastery of Moody’s Financial Analysis Software and associated in-depth business analysis. 
  • Completes a wide variety of credit request write ups to conform to loan policy requirements and information needs of the loan officer and underwriter. 
  • Participates in borrower meetings and/or follow up with borrower regarding credit presentation. 

2.   Establishes Credit Files

  • Properly documents and processes loans in a timely and accurate manner according to loan type.
  • Ensures that follow-up customer information is obtained in a timely manner.
  • Establishes signing authority for various lending relationships. 

3.   Performs oversight to ensure file completeness and conditions are met on approved credit requests. 

  • Ensures existing credit relationships adhere to loan conditions and covenants and that all required customer information is obtained in a timely manner.  Notifies Loan Officers and Loan Administration of any covenant violations.
  • Reviews maturing loan reports and coordinates with Loan Officer in the notification of e customers for credit renewals.
  • Prepare and send out renewal notification letters to customers as requested by the Loan Officer asking for updated credit information and financial statements as necessary.
  • Ensures that financial information is complete and signed per loan policy requirements and follows up with loan officers and/or customers for missing or incomplete information.
  • Evaluates existing loans for changes in risk and makes recommendations to Loan Officers for any risk rating changes. 

Bachelor's Degree (Finance, Accounting or Economics degree preferred) or equivalent experience  and three years experience in financial analysis and loan documentation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
